Perhaps the most widespread urban legend of Blumenau is that the Teatro Carlos Gomes would have been built with Nazi money for the purpose of receiving Adolf Hitler in Brazil and to be the American headquarters of the Third Reich. Proof of this, according to legend, is the frontispiece of the Theatre have formed a Nazi cap. Also according to tradition, the theater would leave many secret tunnels to various points in the city, as for Hitler escape routes in the event of an attack when he was in Blumenau.
Comic books that address Nazism are not new. In early 1980, the "father of Japanese manga," Osamu Tezuka, published a series of five books entitled "ADOLF" which tells the story of three Adolfs - Hitler himself and two boys of German descent living in Japan already in 1992, the American Art Spiegelman was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for the graphic novel "BAD" which chronicles the struggle of his father, a Polish Jew, to survive the Holocaust.
The graphic novel "JEWELS for the Führer" - script writer and lawyer Fernando Henrique Silva Becker design and illustrator Alex Guenther - is a spin-off of the crime novel "THE SECRET OF MY GRANDFATHER" written by Becker in 2009: divided into three acts (this is the first one), tells the story of the assault on Turkish jeweler Ahmed Manoug Pamuk on August 29, 1939 to finance Hitler's coming to Brazil, besides dealing with the scenes of the construction of Carlos Gomes Theater (Theater Musikverein und Frohsinn Blumenau).
